Geraldine Mae (Haskiell) Johnson, 88 of Newburg, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 03, 2024 at Kingwood Healthcare Center with family by her side. She was born on August 16, 1935 in Newburg, daughter of the late Fred and Clara (Trickett) Haskiell. Geraldine was an active member of the Christian Evangelist Church. She loved sewing, quilting, canning, camping, going to Tops. Geraldine is survived by her four children, Sharon Kay Watkins and Paul, Tunnelton, Bonnie Jean Pratt and James, Leesburg, VA, Jackie Sue Wilson and Henry, Newburg, Frankie Gene Johnson, Newburg; eleven grandchildren, Wendy, Stephen, Lori, Jason, Sheldon, Scott, Jeremy, Kristin, Matthew, Gregory and Kurtis; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, James Haskiell and his wife, Joy, Haines City, FL, three sisters-in-law, Mildred Haskiell, Tunnelton, Dorlene Weaver, Zelienople, PA, Agnes Johnson, Newburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin “Frank” Benjamin Johnson in 2023; one daughter-in-law, Karen L (Grimes) Johnson; four sibling, Ronald Haskiell, Robert Haskiell, Helen Jean Metz and Janet Bender; two brothers-in-law, Jim Johnson, Edward Charles Johnson and two sisters-in-law, Lucille “Sis” Kephart, and Geraldine “Tiny” Root. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 2 PM with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Ground Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christian Evangelical Church, 8160 N Mountaineer Highway, Newburg, WV 26410.
